I’ve been a resident of Potts Point for 5 going on 6 years (and an instagrammer for 5) so I was proud to share my neighbourhood for the @instagram World Wide #Instameet to celebrate Earth Day at #ElizabethBayHouse - just down the road from me. The venue is an iconic Sydney home of original owner, Alexander Macleay, whose name identifies Potts Point main drag - Macleay St. And here’s a fun fact - the street on the corner of Elizabeth Bay House, Billyard Ave, is named after Macleay’s secretary! I marvelled over this stately home’s taste for architecture & design, & its beautiful library collection. (Sorry, Mr Big & PF couldn’t make it to the meet; too busy sleeping)
Whenever I visit historical / vintage places, I wish that if I touched of the walls, I could see past events unfold in my vision. Hanging out this morning at the #WWIM13LifeOnEarth @instagram #instameet to celebrate Earth Day with the gracious @beautlotus - & reflecting on how little we, as a human race, have done to preserve our planet.
A #35mm analogue frame will come in 2 weeks' time :)
Thanks to our host @SydLivMus, special guest @ robmulally, the sponsors @lumix_au @westerndigital @niche & our organisers the @sydneyfolk & @igerssydney team for making this happened.
