For 3 weeks, 9 days in July 2015, I helped check-up on a Havanese called Dalston while his parents were on a holiday in Europe, and his caretakers were at work. I decided to document the tiny moments spent with this little guy, just doing little things. I experimented with a variety of approaches to documenting an apparently mundane 'dog walking' task - using the same camera body and lens. Snippets from Dalston’s Dairy - in his own words as I thought it might be.

Day 1 ... Monday

Cloudy. Went to Lyne Park, hung out and waited for pooch friends. No friends about. Posed for some portraits.

Day 2 ... Tuesday

Raining & windy. Went to Lyne Park - made a beeline for Cafe.  Made my friend order food and coffee while I sat hoping I got some. Jumped in mud. Soaked. Got home. Bathed.

Day 3 ... Wednesday

Raining & windy. Got in vintage bug. My friend drove me to Potts Point. New place - new smells - new friends. Met Kois. Got home - beautiful sunset.

Day 4 ... Saturday

Raining & windy. Boo. Went for a walk around the neighbourhood. Made friend with a Cockatoo. Home.

Day 5 ... Monday

Sunny. Yay. Went to golf course. Waited with some golfer hoping to score pets and food. Did long walk (like forever). Quick stop at the beach. Jumped in sand. Home. Washed.

Day 6 ... Tuesday

Sunny. Yay-yay. Went for a walk around Lyne Park. Tried to rub my face on mud. Home.

Day 7 ... Wednesday

Sunny. Got in vintage bug. My friend drove me to Potts Point. New place - new smells - new friends.  Ate lunch - liked carrots but not the green beans. Home.

Day 8 ... Monday

Gloomy at first but sunny.  Went for a walk around the neighbourhood. Quick stop at the beach. Dreaming of red brick castles. Home.

Day 9 ... Tuesday

Sunny. Yay. Went for a walk around the neighbourhood. Went sniffing. Home.
