Bride and Dog | Styled Photoshoot | Sydney Pet Photographer

Bride & Dog - who would have thought! The trend to of inviting pets to weddings has resulted in me collaborating with my good friend Jonathan David (his idea) and a whole bunch of other awesomely talented creatives to produce this shoot featured in White Magazine.

It took me a good 4 months to pull this shoot together, including talent selections, concept creation, planning and organising. It’s taken since March this year.

The day started from noon (dawn for the flower fairy Bethan), and ended right before 6pm. It was a long day for all of us including the pooches but it was well worth the hard work and effort. Everyone did their part in preparing for this shoot and brought with them their tools, props etc on the day and put this together out of nowhere.

If you believe in fairies, then this Team I’m fortunate to know, work with and be part of this production, are the fairies who brought magic to Sydney woodlands.

Below are my shots from the styled shoot I love that didn't make the selection,

At the end of this post, you can see the rest of my shots (with Jonathan's edit for White Mag) and some behind-the-scenes images I managed to capture during that day.

For those who are seriously thinking about inviting their pets along to their weddings, this isn’t an easy affair. There are a lot of things you need to plan and be aware of - the needs of your pets, and how your guests will receive them - whether for only a couple of hours or for the entire event. And mostly, what focus and role would you like your pet to play in a photoshoot, and whether you need a photographer who specialises in pets to capture those moments.

So here’s a good guide on what you need to be aware of - tips by renowned dog trainer Victoria Stilwell:  pet pointers: including pets in your wedding.
